The best RTS of 2006 returns to the battlefield with some news.
Company of Heroes was considered by critics as the best game of real-time strategy launched in 2006. Through the theme based on World War II, no doubt eternally appealing, the game is highlighted by lush graphics, great gameplay and sounds to die for.
With so much quality, won numerous awards and received a great reception, is among the players, either in specialized media. Building on the success of the title THQ (responsible for the game) has triggered an expansion.
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts continued the acclaimed Company of Heroes. The new heroes of the incursion owed nothing to its predecessor and best of all, it was not a simple expansion pack, but a title wholly independent.
Now, THQ unveiled the new campaign the company of heroes, who returns to computers in Tales of Valor. Tim Holman, executive producer at Relic responsible for the CoH franchise, described the new game as a collection of short stories of the war, unlike the epic format adopted in other editions of the series.
Sure Shot
Tales of Valor should bring some news for the franchise, including the name direct-fire system, which promises to enhance further the gameplay of Company of Heroes. The new system must fit best to control individual units and the heroic moments (moments of heroism) that pop up throughout each campaign.
For example, when the player takes control of any one unit, like a tank, the control system will adapt quickly to new "lay" and adopt a form of direct shot (with an aim more accurate).
While previous editions of Company of Heroes, players had a very limited control of the towers of the tanks, Tales of Valor promises to wipe out any issues concerning such a situation.
Another feature of value is that the units could be improved as an RPG, and the player can enhance the attributes and skills over the years, thus improving some features such as accuracy and time to recharge.
Battles
According to Holman, the vast army of players who were aficionados of multiplayer games for CoH does not need to worry about the possible implications of the new system of direct-fire in the matches.
Because it is an expansion is possible for users value confronted with players of the original Company of Heroes or the first expansion, Opposing Fronts.
The Relic - Game developer - are testing different ways of introducing the system in multiplayer matches, but so far the company could not envision a good fit, a fact which led to a simple solution: the system is not available in multiplayer mode at least to the Relic find a fair way to deploy the system without harming the other players.
